Hilary Duff shares FIRST look as Lizzie McGuire as she kick starts filming series reboot; Check It Out

Hilary Duff is returning to the small screen and how! If you've been living under a rock, let us first tell you that Disney's popular show Lizzie McGuire is all set to get a reboot and return on Disney Plus -- Disney's very own streaming channel. If that wasn't great enough, actress Hilary Duff will be reprising her role as Lizzie and it will follow her journey as a 30-year-old millennial navigating her life through New York City. Today, Duff took to Instagram to share her first look as Lizzie McGuire as they kick-started filming in New York City.

In the candid shot shared by Duff, the actress can be flashing her widest smile in the middle of the street. Wearing a mustard yellow coat, yellow and black plaid skirt and top, Duff looked smart giving an insight into what her wardrobe for the series reboot may look like. She completed her look with a pair of smart, black boots. Duff captioned the candid picture, "Happy first LIZZIE day!!!!! NYC.....cue the rain #lizziemcguire."

Lizzie McGuire series reboot was announced at the D23 Expo in the US a few months ago. Apart from Duff, the show's original creator Terri Minsky will also be returning as well as the OG cast her parents and annoying but loving younger brother. Check out their picture from the sets:

Reacting to the announcement at D23, Duff has said, "The good news is, just like me and everybody who loved Lizzie and has grown up with her, Lizzie’s also grown up. She’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget, which is super exciting. She has her dream job. She has kind of the perfect life right now. She’s working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator. She has her dream guy, who owns a cool SoHo restaurant. She has her dream apartment in Brooklyn. And she’s getting ready to celebrate her 30th birthday."
