As her cue came on, Gwyneth strutted on the stage in her gown slowly.

The snug fit of Gwyneth's vintage gown resulted in the actress taking dainty steps as she took her own time to reach the microphone to announce the winner. The Oscar winner's stylist has now dished out the actual reason behind Gwyneth's slow walk on the Emmys stage.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Saltzman said, "That’s because in 1963 there were no back slits. It was not that she was having this fabulous walk, which she already has. In order to keep the dress authentic, I didn’t want to change Mr. Valentino’s design." Us Weekly reports that the actress probably wanted to pay tribute to the the Italian designer who is a close friend. The actress kept her make up to the minimal and sported feathered tulle sleeves.
