14 November is celebrated as Children's Day all over India. Children's Day is celebrated in India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is held on 14 November every year as a tribute to India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, affectionately known as Chacha Nehru among children. He advocated for children to have fulfilled education. On this day, many educational and motivational programs are held across India by the children and for the children. 

There are many movies produced throughout the world for kids or based on kids. Kids loved to watch these kind of movies as they get a character they can relate to. Here are the top 10 movies based on kids:

1] Home Alone Series

Home Alone is an American comedy film series. It revolves around young kids who tackle burglars in different films. All the movies in this series were big hits.

2] Baby’s Day Out

The movie revolves around a wealthy baby's abduction by three kidnappers, his subsequent escape and adventure while being pursued by the kidnappers in Chicago.  In India, it was played at the largest theater in Calcutta for over a year back in 1994. It was remade twice, first in Telugu in 1995 under the title Sisindri and then in Malayalam in 1999 under the title James Bond.

3] Richie Rich

The movie is based on the famous cartoon with the same name. The plot revolves around a super rich kid and his friends who try and catch a thief who plans on stealing his money. The movie also has a direct-to-video sequel titled Richie Rich's Christmas Wish.

4] Stuart Little

Though the movie is not based solely on a kid, but more on the mouse, it is fun to see a young boy and mouse interact and bond while going through various adventures. The movie has two sequels to it namely Stuart Little 2 and direct-to-video movie Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild.

5] Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The plot revolves around a young boy who has won a tour to the most magnificent factory of the world let by an unusual candy maker. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory received positive critical reviews and was a box office success, grossing USD 475 million worldwide.

6] The Parent Trap

Lindsay Lohan led many fans to believe she actually had a twin! It was her debut movie. The plot revolves a divorced couple who separated shortly after their identical twin daughters' birth. Later, the twins by chance reunite at summer camp after being separated at birth. 

7] Harry Potter Franchise 

Harry Potter movies are based on J. K. Rowling’s books of the same name. The movie franchise was extremely popular with the kids.

8] The Game Plan

A professional quarterback living the bachelor lifestyle discovers that he has an 8-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. 

9] It Takes Two

Two identical girls, Alyssa and Amanda, who are strangers meet one day resulting in some hilarious situations while trying to be the matchmaker between two people.

10] The Spy Kids

The plot revolves around secret agent parents who are in danger and their children try to save them. The movie earned USD 147.9 million with a budget of USD 35 million.
