The word Halloween means All Saints' Eve. It comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve, i.e. the evening before All Hallows' Day. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending Halloween costume parties, making jack-o'-lanterns out of pumpkins by carving them, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories as well as watching horror films.

Every theme park is decorated in Halloween ornaments and plays a haunted theme music in the background to make it look more spooky. People decorate their houses too, making the house look spooky to scare the people. At night usually it's the kids who go trick-or-treating, in which whichever house they go to they receive candies or chocolates. People also watch horror movies or movies related to Halloween to keep the scary spirit alive for the night.

Here are the top 5 movies to watch for Halloween night:

1] Halloweentown

It’s been 20 years since the movie was released and it is still loved by many. A 13-year-old learns that she comes from a family of witches and is also a witch. As an evil force is plotting to take over Halloweentown, she joins forces with her mother and grandmother to save the town.

2] Hocus Pocus
