GOT alums Rose Leslie & Kit Harington welcome their first child together! Latter’s rep says they’re very happy
It was recently confirmed that Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have just welcomed their first child, a baby boy! Scroll down for details.
Game of Thrones alums and co-stars Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have welcomed their first child! And its a boy! Just today, Page Six reported the news of the baby boy’s birth and published a photo of the couple with the baby in London. Harington’s rep told Page Six the couple was "very, very happy!"
For the unversed, the actors, both 34, met in 2011 while working together on HBO's phenomenally successful fantasy series Game of Thrones. Leslie played the wildling Ygritte and Harington was series lead Jon Snow with their characters becoming romantically involved before the former's exit in season four. The couple announced their engagement in 2017 and married in June 2018 at the Leslie family's ancestral castle in their native Scotland.
It was back in October 2020 when the couple announced their pregnancy. Through an interview with New York Post, while promoting her upcoming film Death on the Nile, Leslie opened up about her pregnancy and said: "I can’t wait to meet the new member of our family.” Moreover, during the interview, Rose also spoke about how the couple took a little trip to Greece after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. While referring to the Grecian sunshine as "glorious," Leslie hilariously recounted to New York Post how it proved to be troublesome for the pair. As Rose is very fair, she wears sunscreen, which is like chalk while Harington, on the other hand, tans. Hence, when they go on holidays, Kit becomes like a lizard while Leslie is under an umbrella.
