Gossip Girl Reboot will not be as controversial as Zendaya's Euphoria; says executive producer Josh Schwartz
Gossip Girl Reboot is currently on everyone's mind but according to executive producer Josh Schwartz, the series will not be as controversial or risque as Zendaya's new show, Euphoria. Read below to know more about what Josh had to say on the same.
Gossip Girl was one of the most beloved teenage series that lasted for six seasons and was focused on Upper East Siders. The titular characters Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen became fashion icons for young girls while Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald and Dan Humphrey were everyone's teenage crushes. Now, years later, Gossip Girl is getting a reboot version and according to the makers, the series will take place eight years after we said goodbye to the original characters.
In recent time, it is Zendaya's Euphoria that has caused a craze in the teenage drama genre, as they are blurring the lines between controversial and risque. Will Gossip Girl Reboot follow the same controversial and risque pattern? No, according to executive producer Josh Schwartz. While speaking at the 2019 Television Critics Association summer press tour, Josh shared, "I think you don't ever want to feel gratuitous or something that you're doing just because. Luckily, we're now airing post-Euphoria, so anything we do will seem tame in comparison I don't think will be that controversial."
