The Golden Globes 2020 nominations list was announced on Monday and one of the best shows to have ever been made, Game of Thrones, received all of one nomination. Yes, you heard that right. Kit Harington, who features as Jon Snow in the series, managed to score a spot on the list and became the show's only saving grace. Kit has been nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series – Drama alongside Oscar winner Rami Malek, Tobias Menzies, Brian Cox and Emmys winner Billy Porter.

While the show has been widely loved, the final season of GoT saw varied reactions from fans who even went to great lengths and petitioned HBO to redo the season. Kit Harington has been one of the show's stars since season one and this is his first Golden Globe nomination.

So far, the show has been nominated as many as seven times and actor Peter Dinklage holds the only Golden Globe win. Over the years, Game of Thrones has been nominated five times in the Best Drama category, Lena Headey for Best Supporting Actress (TV) and Peter's' win. Even though season 8 of GoT cannot be considered it's best, the Golden Globes is sure to surprise and shock die-hard fans of the show.
