Gilmore Girls is an American comedy-drama television series, which is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. The show debuted on October 5, 2000. Gilmore Girls originally ran for seven seasons, the final season moved to The CW and ended its run on May 15, 2007.
The series revolves around a single mother, Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, Rory Gilmore, who live in Stars Hollow, Connecticut. These two are the only two lead characters of the show. Lorelai Gilmore is the name of three characters in the Gilmore Girls series. The series name is derived from the younger two of the three and each of the characters that were named after their elders. Lorelai Gilmore is an iconic TV mom. She is witty, quirky and loves coffee. She often visits Luke's dinner for coffee and food. She makes many pop culture references, many from the 80s. Lorelai speaks very fast, especially when upset. She runs an Inn with her best friend is Sookie St. James and Michel Gerard.
