Gigi Hadid follows Cardi B’s footsteps and goes makeup free; WAP singer calls her ‘most humblest ever’
Gigi Hadid recently took cues from Cardi B and shared a few makeup free looks from her recent shoot after the WAP singer shared a message about being real on Twitter.
Gigi Hadid and Cardi B just had the sweetest social media exchange! It all started when the WAP singer Cardi B posted a video to Twitter addressing negative comments made about her online. “This is me with no makeup. You can see, you know, all the little blemishes on my face. You can see my lips so chapped… I just woke up 20 minutes ago, didn’t even brush my hair. Like, I feel good,” she said. She further proceeded to call trolls out: “trying to put their confidence down,” saying it “don’t work on me anymore. I just want to channel that I feel comfortable in my skin, that I’m great, that I’m happy, my record’s doing great.”
“Just because you go so much hatred in your heart that when I do great y’all want to put it down — you can’t. Imma stay on top, with this face, with this natural face, makeup or not, a b–h is doing good,” she continued. After Cardi’s self-empowering statement, supermodel Gigi Hadid was inspired to take cues from her and follow the singer’s footsteps. Gigi then took to her Instagram stories and shared a makeup-free selfie herself, to which Cardi replied on Twitter.
The Up singer shared Gigi’s makeup-free photo and wrote: “I love them soooo much. They [sic] always show me sooo much love. They was raised in a palace yet the most humblest girls ever.” To which Hadid responded with “Love u biiiig” and yellow heart emoji.
If you didn’t know, Cardi and Gigi both have 1 daughter. Gigi welcomed her daughter Khai back in September 2020, while Cardi welcomed her baby in July 2018.
