After entertaining us as the blue genie in Aladdin's live action remake in May this year, Will Smith is all set to blow our minds away with his upcoming film Gemini Man. A latest video from the film has been released and we cannot get over the two versions of Will Smith in it. The film features Will Smith playing two different characters - a 51-year-old assassin and a 23-year-old assassin out to kill him. Directed by Ang Lee, the new video talks about the idea of creating a young clone of Smith using cutting-edge visual effects.
In the trailer, fans are treated to visuals of Will Smith fighting Will Smith in an almost unreal experience. The film, which set to hit the theatres in October this year, has received praises from all quarters for the incredible use of technology to create Will Smith's double in the film.
Speaking about it, Will Smith said, "When I first saw it. It was freaky. It was me. I was looking at the perfect 23-year-old version of me, like somebody took all the flaws out. It's cinematically astounding. This is going to change how movies are made, and how movies are seen."
The clone of a younger Smith is a "completely digital creation, 100 per cent driven by Will Smith's performance capture" revealed VFX supervisor Bill Westenhofer. Smith also added that the reason he was able to play both the characters because of what he has learned as an actor over the years.
Gemini Man is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.
