Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner comments on the use of THIS plot device for making her character strong
The popular tv show Game of Thrones has finally gone off air but people haven't stopped talking about it. Now, Sophie Turner who portrays the character of Sansa Stark in the show has commented on a particular issue of associating a certain plot device with the development of her character.
One of the most popular television series Game of Thrones has finally come to an end leaving many of the fans emotional and teary - eyed. The eighth and the final season of the much loved show which was aired on HBO has been officially wrapped up. The finale of the show, however, has left some of the fans furious as it did not end in the way as it was being expected, leaving many of them surprised. In a documentary released by HBO titled The Last Watch, the star cast of Game of Thrones also shared their feelings and emotions regarding the end of the show.
Sophie Turner, who played the role of Sansa Stark in the show, has been currently busy in the promotions of her upcoming movie, X - Men: Dark Phoenix. Sophie's co star from the movie, Jessica Chastain had questioned the makers of Game of Thrones for using rape as a plot device for developing Sansa as a strong character. The same thing was pointed out by numerous fans post the airing of the fourth episode of GOT season 8 when Sansa had said that without Littlefinger and Ramsay, she would have always remained a little bird.
Sophie Turner has finally spoken up about the entire thing in a recent interview. Sophie said that it was Sansa's mentality that made her a politician and a manipulator and not the things that she went through. Sophie further stated that Sansa chose to remain quiet in order to learn things and gather information. She further cleared the air by saying that rape is not the plot device which has been used to make her character strong.
