Game of Thrones Season 8: Top 5 characters most likely to die in episode 3

Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently underway with two episodes aired so far. The episodes rode high on emotions and multiple reunions, which fans have been waiting for seasons. However, episode 3 is where all the violence begins as Jon Snow's army is all geared up for a tough battle against The Night King and his army of the dead. It's going to be heart-wrenching episode filled with many deaths, as can be predicted from the last battles fought in Game of Thrones' history.

Episode 3's promo is out now and it gave us tiny glimpses on what we can expect from the upcoming 1 hour and 22-minute spectacle. From Jon Snow to Ser Brienne of Tarth, everyone is going to be fighting for the living. You can expect fireworks and tears to be shed given the battlefield setup. As we still have a week to go before we come to know who made it out alive, we list down our top 5 picks of characters who we may have to say goodbye to in episode 3. Have a look:

Gendry

The takeaway from episode 2 was definitely Arya Stark and Gendry's steamy hookup. But, having a peaceful moment in GOT has never been a good look on our favourite characters and Gendry seems to be on top of the list of future dead characters.

Theon Greyjoy

Theon is ready to sacrifice himself for Winterfell and in his bid to safeguard Bran Stark, we very well may have to say goodbye to this beloved character.

Tormund Giantsbane

As much as we love this heart-filled giant, Tormund could very well be in the dead list as well. It would be bittersweet if he dies trying to save Ser Brienne of Tarth.

Jorah Mormont

Similar to Tormund, we may see Jorah defend his Queen Daenerys Targaryen's honour and sacrifice himself during the battle.

Grey Worm

Watching Grey Worm and Missandei's tender moment of how they will travel to Naath once the war was over and Dany would take over the Iron Throne left a great amount of dread in all GOT fans as future planning has always resulted in death for past characters.

Special Mention: Arya Stark

In what could be a shocker of epic proportions, Arya, who is one of the most popular characters in GOT history could be killed. She may very well become a White Walker herself.
