Game of Thrones Prequel: Photos LEAKED from the sets of Bloodmoon? Details inside
Game of Thrones prequel titled Bloodmoon is being shot in North Ireland. A few pictures from behind-the-scenes have hit the internet.
The show might have come to an end but the Game of Thrones fever is not ending anytime soon. After eight long seasons, GoT ended last month on a not-so-satisfying note. Fans were left unimpressed with the final season. However, they have some relief knowing that the prequels are in the works. Just recently we reported that one of the spinoffs has begun work, with Naomi Watts headlining the prequel. It was revealed that the prequel, whose working title is reportedly Bloodmoon, is heading to North Ireland to shoot for its first season.
The location also served as the filming location for several Game of Thrones episodes through its eight seasons. Now, a set of pictures have hit the internet suggesting that they are from the sets of Bloodmoon. A few Twitter handles have been sharing a slew of photos supposedly from the sets of the prequel and tease something big, literally.
If Game of Thrones had dire wolves and dragons, the prequel photos tease the possibility of mammoths. In photos shared, signboards with an illustration of a mammoth are seen stuck to posts. Apart from that, photos of sets under construction have been shared online. The photos have been shared by a Twitter handle called BloodmoonIRL. Check out a few photos below:
While not much is known about the prequel's plot, we do know that it is set thousands of years before the recently concluded Game of Thrones season. The show is reportedly written by Jane Goldman and it is set to explore the Westerosi history and reveal the actual backstory of the White Walkers.
Speaking about the prequel, Watts told AP that she feels intimidated. "It is intimidating. It’s very exciting. having just come off the last series, where the world was blowing up over it. Everything was Game of Thrones related. All the advertising on TV, every article — everyone’s jumping on that bandwagon. So, it is scary," she said. "Hopefully, those fans come along and get to find something new and interesting in this world as well. I think they won’t be let down, it’s a great team of people they’ve put together," she added.
Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
