Game of Thrones: Joe Jonas said THIS sweetest thing about the show and Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark; Read On
Game of Thrones season 8 ended a couple of days ago. While there are many things said about the show, nothing came close to what Sophie Turner's husband Joe Jonas said about GoT and Sansa Stark.
Warning: If you haven't watched the Game of Thrones finale episode (are you even a fan?), we'd suggest you don't sneak around this story. It has some spoilers. Having said that, it has been a couple of days since the Game of Thrones finale premiered. Ever since, a lot has been spoken about the GoT ending, the final season aka season 8 and the characters' endings. From Daenerys Targaryen's death to Bran Stark crowned as the king of six realms, the finale episode left everyone talking. But Joe Jonas decided to step away from the chaos and thank Game of Thrones for a different reason.
The international singer, who is now married to GoT actress Sophie Turner, took to Twitter to thank the show for introducing him to his wife. Fans of the show will be aware that Joe and the actress who played Sansa Stark on the show dated for two years before tying the knot a few weeks ago. The singer congratulated the stars of the show on their long run and added a sweet note for his wife.
The singer tweeted, "When you realize @GameOfThrones is over vibes.... Congratulations to everyone that worked on this incredible show! life changing television. I have you to thank for introducing me to the incredible @SophieT."
He went on to proclaim, "Long live the QUEEN OF THE MF NORTH." The singer added the line referring to Sansa Stark's ending on the show. Sansa finally was crowned as the Queen of North. She opted out of the realm, making the North an independent realm.
Meanwhile, Sophie is disappointed with the way the fan petition demanding the remake of Game of Thrones season 8. Speaking to the New York Times, she deemed the petition as "disrespectful."
"All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season. Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful," she said.
