Game of Thrones: Did you know THIS Avengers: Endgame star had auditioned to play Daenerys Targaryen?

Emilia Clarke eventually ended up essaying the role of Khaleesi aka Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, but there were several others who had originally auditioned for the role as well. Find out which Avengers: Endgame star could have almost played the mother of dragons.

Emilia Clarke immortalised Khaleesi aka Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones is barely a day from ending an iconic decade-long run in HBO. Soon, we will be bidding adieu to iconic characters like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister as we see them battle the game of thrones for one last time. It will be interesting to see if Queen Dany continues to rule the seven kingdoms of if someone close to the Khaleesi will end up raining on her parade. We'll be getting the final answer tomorrow, i.e. May 20, 2019, at 6:30 am.

Along with Game of Thrones, the past few months have also belonged to Avengers: Endgame, which may soon dethrone James Cameron's Avatar (2009) as the most successful film of all time! But, did you know, there is loose thread tied between Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame? Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlett Witch aka Wanda Maximoff in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) had auditioned to play Daenerys Targaryen in GOT. Talking to Vulture about the horrible audition, Elizabeth revealed, "When I first started working, I just auditioned for everything, because I like auditioning. And I auditioned for Khaleesi. I forgot that. It was the most awkward audition I’d ever had."
