Many things shown on the final series were considered unjust by the fans. But, George RR Martin has never shied away from making tough choices towards the plot of the show. The issue is with the ruthless decisions that were taken in line with the story line. Fans knew from the books how the end will unfold. Fans were sure that Bran will be sitting on a throne but couldn't believe it will happen like the way it did on the show. The final episode's end track was not a popular one, and fans understood that Bran was heading for his doom.
Bran's government was about to fall completely, fans knew that it was ineffective from day one. Bran's government made way for the creation of seven independent kingdoms. Fans just don't see a way how Bran could govern the last six remaining kingdoms in any way possible. Neither do they see a valid reason why any of the kingdoms would stay under the throne at King's landing.
Sansa had set an ultimatum that was allowed with no discussions. It was a simple nod given at a meeting attended by Starks. It looks like everything happened is made possible by the situation at Kings Landing. The reasons given on Reddit shows that it all happened just to serve the crowd as Sansa was the Queen in the North. Bran is thrown out of Winterfell. This gives Sansa a way to be the rightful heir.
