Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke REVEALS aspects she learned from Daenerys Targaryen
Emilia Clarke kissed Daenerys Targaryen goodbye as Game of Thrones ended this summer. The actress now spills the beans on the various things she learned thanks to the powerful character.
Emilia Clarke may be moving on from Daenerys Targaryen but she's is not going to forget all that she's learned from the Game of Thrones character. Having played Dany for eight long seasons, the GoT character has seen a development like no other on the show. Having started off as a reserve and fear-driven teenager married to Khal Drogo, Dany earned several titles on and turned completely dark by the time she reached the Iron Throne. While fans have taken a lot from her character, Emilia confesses she too has learned a lot from Dany.
Speaking to Daily Telegraph, the actress listed down a bunch of things Daenerys taught her. She said that Dany taught her about "lady balls." She also experienced how it felt to "be in a room and be heard." "[Daenerys] wielded such power, calmness and such poise. She had a fierce intensity and made some incredibly tough choices," she said. Recalling a moment from the third season, Emilia explained, "In Season 3, she had to start busting some balls, and as a 25-year-old standing in front of 500 extras, 150 crew members, six cameras, a drone, dragons and fire, I had to bring it. I felt like if I can do that, then the red carpet doesn’t feel so scary to me at all. So there’s a certain kind of self-belief that rubs off on you as a person."
Emilia, we've also learned a lot from Daenerys. Thank you for essaying such a powerful character. Looking at the future, Emilia is preparing for her first movie since the end of Game of Thrones. The actress will be seen in The Last Christmas alongside Henry Golding, Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh. Check out the trailer below:
