Game of Thrones 8: Nikolaj Coster Waldau: It is not possible to make everyone happy with the ending
Game of Thrones star cast members like Conleth Hill and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau talked about the final season's disappointment at the comic con panel. Here's what they said.
Many fans were disappointed after watching the eighth and final season of the fantasy series Game of Thrones. The last season left the viewers in deep shock. GoT fanatics had huge expectations from this season after watching the previous amazing seasons. However, many were left disappointed and the eighth season was not up to the mark according to them. In fact, actor Conleth Hill, who plays the role of Lord Varys also spoke about it, and Jamie Lannister aka Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also commented on the same at the show's final comic con panel.
“I don’t regret starting the petition,” Conleth Hill jokingly said. He was saying in reference to the petition signed by thousands of fans who were disappointed with the final season and demanded HBO for a remake. “We’re very grateful for your fandom over the years and I think this is the reality rather than a media-led hate campaign," he added. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau then shared that it is not possible that the show could make everyone happy with its ending. "It comes to an end it’s gonna piss you off no matter what because it’s the end,” he said. “If you hated the ending, if you loved the ending, that’s great, just don’t call people names," he added.
Meanwhile, 10 cast members of Game of Thrones have been nominated for Emmy's 2019, for the final season, which aired between April-May 2019. Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) received Emmy nominations in the Lead Actor categories, while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) received Emmy nominations in the Supporting Actor categories. Carice van Houten received an Emmy nomination in the Guest Actress category.
