Fifteen years ago yesterday, the final episode of the heartwarming sitcom Friends aired. The series received much love back then and is appreciated now too. It stars Jennifer Anniston (Rachel) David Schwimmer (Ross), Courteney Cox (Monica), Matthew Perry (Chandler), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) and Matt Le Blanc (Joey). These six friends have touched many lives in their own special way. Teenagers as well as adults just admire this show.

However, 'Friends' left us in tears in the last episode 'The one where Rachel goes to Paris'. It was a really heartbreaking finale scene. Netflix tweeted that, in the very last scene of the episode, Jennifer Anniston aka Rachel was trying to hide her real tears while shooting. It is a really sad moment for all the characters as well as the fans. Well, the fanatics always demand a reunion of all the characters or a movie based on the show but it has not happened as yet.

The show is now also available on Netflix. However, since the time it has been made available to a larger audience, the show has been receiving criticism. Friends has been receiving flak as some people say that it's sexist. Some also say that Joey's scenes of objectifying women are not appropriate. It is also being criticised for mixing homophobia in with their punchlines. In an interview with USA Today, when asked how Friends would change if it was being remade, Marta Kauffman said ‘we didn’t have the knowledge about transgender people back then’ and so she doubts they used the appropriate terms. ‘I think that’s the biggest one,’ she added.
