Freida Pinto is opening up about her tough postpartum time following the birth of her son Rumi-Ray, wanting to normalize discussions on the subject. The 37-year-old actress added, "It felt like the months being pregnant and even childbirth were little appetizers to this grand main course. Preparation was so key to this life altering phase of mothering and I feel so proud, relieved and blessed to have walked into it with knowledge, research and support." Pinto also wrote a list of things she wanted to normalize for women preparing for the postpartum period. Meanwhile, Pinto had son Rumi-Ray with photographer spouse Cory Tran, 34, whom she married sometime during the pandemic at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
As per Daily Mail, during an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she said that, although she and Tran had planned a lovely wedding, the worldwide pandemic changed their minds. She claimed that she and Tran chose to marry unceremoniously to reduce their stress levels.
The Hillbilly Elegy actress first shared her happy pregnancy news back in June. The star posted a photo of herself on Instagram as Tran cradled her baby bump. "Baby Tran, coming this Fall!," she captioned the pair of photos. Her photographer husband shared an identical post on his own Instagram page.
