Ryan Reynolds is back in action as his upcoming film, Free Guy's trailer was released. The 'Deadpool' star's upcoming action comedy film showcases him as a background player trapped in a video game called Free City where has been robbed every single day for 27 days.. A bank teller by profession, Ryan is mind blown as he explores the virtual world and devices his own ways to fight crime and the bad guys. Directed by Shawn Levy, Free Guy will remind you of a superhero film minus the elaborate tights and costumes.
Alongside Ryan Reynolds, Free Guy also stars Jodie Comer, Taika Waititi, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery and Utkarsh Ambudkar. In the trailer, Reynolds plays Guy who witnesses large scale destruction like buildings being blow up and people harassed. These violent incidents don't seem out of the ordinary. However, one fine day a bank robbery leads Ryan to see the world as a video game player with the help of a pair of glasses.
After wearing the glasses, Ryan aka Guy sees Free City in a completely new light which includes missions and rewards. In comes Jodie Comer as she says, “Guy, this world, it’s a video game, and it’s full of bad guys. We need you to be the good guy.” The trailer sent fans into a tizzy and also was one of the top trending videos on YouTube. Free Guy will release in the US on July 3, 2020.
