The Eternals: Captain Marvel star Gemma Chan to star as a different character in the MCU film?
Gemma Chan, who played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel, is in talks to star alongside Richard Madden and Angelina Jolie in The Eternals. If the reports turn out to be true, Gemma could be the first star to play two different characters in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
The Eternals is one of the highly-awaited MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies from Phase 4, thanks to its star-studded cast. Not only does the film mark the entry of Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden into the MCU world, but The Eternals also stars Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee. The project has been undertaken by The Rider (2017) director, Chloé Zhao while the script is written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
According to Variety, Gemma Chan is reportedly in talks to join Angelina and Richard in The Eternals. The Crazy Rich Asians (2018) actress is not averse to the MCU as she starred in the 2019 hit, Captain Marvel. In the Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson starrer, Gemma played Minn-Erva, a Kree sniper and a star of Starforce, before Carol Danvers came along and stole the spotlight from her. If Chan is indeed cast in The Eternals, it will be the first time a star plays two different characters in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
