Enola Holmes: After Superman, Henry Cavill to play Sherlock Holmes opposite Millie Bobby Brown
Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown are all set to be a part of the Sherlock Holmes world in Enola Homes. Elena Holmes, which also stars Helena Bonham Carter is being directed by Harry Bradbeer.
After saving the world multiple times, from the greatest villains, as the powerful Superman in the DC Universe, Henry Cavill is set to take on another iconic character - Sherlock Holmes in his next feature film. Henry joins a long list of actors who have donned the hat of Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary detective including Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr., Ian McKellen, Roger Moore, Christopher Plummer and James D'Arcy amongst others. Cavill will be playing Sherlock Holmes in Legendary's Enola Holmes.
Directed by Killing Eve's Harry Bradbeer and adapted to script by His Dark Materials' Jack Thorne, Enola Holmes will also star Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola and Helena Bonham Carter as Sherlock, Enola, Mycroft's mother. The movie is based on Nancy Springer popular book series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries. The series is a collection of six books and is based on the mysteries investigated by Enola. The first book is titled The Case of the Missing Marquess (2006).

The last time we saw Henry Cavill on the big screen was in Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) as CIA assassin August Walker, squaring off against Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt. On the other hand, Millie was seen in Godzilla: King of the Monsters as Madison Russell.
Meanwhile, it's highly unlikely that Henry will reprise his role as Superman in the DC Universe. Cavill has played Superman in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Justice League (2017).
