Emmys 2019 Nominations List: Game of Thrones, Chernobyl and Saturday Night Live lead the pack

The 71st Emmy Awards is one of the most awaited award ceremonies in 2019 as it honours the best performances in Television. Emmys 2019 will be taking place on September 22, 2019, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. The Emmy nominations were revealed last night and leading the pack while making history is Game of Thrones, who broke the record for the most Emmy nominations at 32! Besides being nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, majority of the season 8 cast was nominated.

It included Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Gwendoline Christie and guest star Carice van Houten. After GOT, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the recently released Chernobyl came in second and third with 20 and 19 nominations. While Saturday Night Live earned 18 nods, Barry and Fosse/Verdon garnered 17 nods. HBO leads the pack with the most Emmy nominations as it earned 137 nods.
