Emmys 2019: Game of Thrones prequel star Naomi Watts bumps into GOT stars Lena Headey and Gwendoline Christie
Game of Thrones prequel star Naomi Watts was amongst the presenters at Emmys 2019 and did not miss the opportunity to click a picture with GOT stars Lena Headey and Gwendoline Christie aka Cersei Lannister and Brienne of Tarth. Check out their mesmerising photo below.
Naomi Watts will be taking forward the legacy of strong-willed female characters from the likes of Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Gwendoline Christie, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Carice van Houten, as the Oscar-nominated actress stars in one of the Game of Thrones prequels, tentatively titled Bloodmoon or The Longest Night. Today, Naomi was amongst the presenters at Emmys 2019, where GOT took home the Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Peter Dinklage.
Watts took to her Instagram page to share a gorgeous photo of herself featuring Lena and Gwendoline, who we know as Cersei Lannister and Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones. The 50-year-old actress looked beautiful in a strapless black Dior Fall 2019 Haute Couture gown with a diamond necklace to further accentuate the dress. Lena looked ethereal in a mint green floral pink gown from Brock Collection while Gwendoline gave us major Jesus Christ vibes in a red and white robe dress from Gucci.

Naomi's caption reads as, "This was a bit exciting...!!! Loved bumping into these seriously talented ladies @iamlenaheadey @gwendolineuniverse #GOT congratulations."
Girl power, indeed!
Meanwhile, speaking of Naomi's character in the Game of Thrones prequel, the actress is said to play a "charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret." Furthermore, while talking to the Associated Press about the prequel and how the GOT fans will react to the upcoming series, Watts shared, "It's scary but hopefully those fans come along and get to find something new and interesting in this world as well. I don't think they will be let down. It's a great team of people they have put together."
