Dwayne Johnson says his 'heart stopped’ when he heard about Kevin Hart's horrific car crash: I lost my breath
Months after Kevin Hart's near-fatal car accident, Dwayne Johnson opened up about his reactions to the news of his Jumanji: The Next Level co-star's accident. Read all about it here.
September began on a horrific note for Kevin Hart, his family and friends after news broke out that the Jumanji: The Next Level star was involved in a car accident. The comedian-actor was seated in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda with his friend Jared S. Black on the wheel and his fiance Rebecca Broxterman riding with the men. The near-fatal accident left Hart with multiple fractures. At the time of the accident, his friend and Jumanji: The Next Level co-star Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram and prayed that Hart recovers soon.
Now, Johnson reflects upon the moments following the car crash and revealed that he lost his breath when the news of Hart's accident. Currently promoting his December release with Hart, Johnson told Kevin McCarthy that not only did he lose his breath but his "heart stopped" too.
“His situation could’ve gone another way. He knows that, we know that. When I heard the news, my heart stopped and I lost my breath," he recalled. The wrestler-turned-actor went on to gush about Hart and said that the actor is "one of the good ones." He also took pride in Hart's ability to overcome the accident and recover soon. "I’m happy that he’s here," he said.
When Hart met Dwayne post the accident, Dwayne revealed that the two Jumanji stars had a lengthy conversation about the accident and pondered upon how it changed him. We are glad that things did not take a turn for the worse. Hart was admitted to the hospital for ten days following his car accident.
