Dwayne Johnson is going to star as Mark Kerr in his next film.

Dwayne ‘Rock’ Johnson made the announcement of his next project. The actor attended a press conference that was hosted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at Madison Square Garden. As UFC 244 event is going to kick-start this weekend, Dwayne took the opportunity to reveal that he is going to produce and star as legendary MMA legend Mark Kerr in this movie project.

Dwayne Johnson is going to produce this one with Danny Garcia and Seven Bucks Productions. Talking about the project, Dwayne revealed a few details about this film during the announcement at the press conference, he said, “I was drawn to this because he has such a compelling story. Yes, he achieved so much in his life, but like all of us, like all of these fighters, he battled these demons.”

Dwayne also revealed that he watched the documentary ‘The Smashing Documentary: The Life and Times of Extreme Fighter Mark Kerr’ a lot of times in his life. That is the reason, he is so impressed by his struggles, mentality and above all dedication. Another big news that he revealed was the fact that Mark Kerr himself is going to be a part of this film.
