Dwayne Johnson Death Hoax: No, The Rock did NOT die following a stunt accident gone wrong
Dwayne Johnson falls prey to a death hoax yet again. The internet killed The Rock, who recently revealed that he is going to dive into the making of Black Adam soon, in “a terrible stunt attempt.”
Hollywood is not a stranger to death hoaxes. Several international celebrities have been the target of false death news. How many times have we read reports about Mr Bean actor Rowan Atkinson’s death? While Rowan was spared, the internet ended up killing Dwayne Johnson this week. The hoax began when a fake report with the headline: “BBC: Dwayne The Rock Johnson Dies at 47 After A Terrible Stunt Attempt Failed” began making the rounds of the social media earlier this week.
The news caused havoc among The Rock fans. Fans took to Twitter to enquire about Dwayne’s health. However, thankfully, Dwayne is alive and kicking. The actor did not address the death hoax. But he took to Instagram to share the first look of his upcoming DC movie Black Adam. The actor announced the release date and shared his thoughts about playing the DC character.
The Instagram post assured that Dwayne is fine and he was just a target of the death hoax. This isn’t the first time Dwayne has been a victim of the death hoax. Metro UK notes the internet killed Dwayne back in 2011 and 2014. Back in 2014, the wrestler-turned-actor took to Facebook to address the hoax and said, “Rumours of my death are false – I’m still “Bringin’ It” 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – including leap year!”
On the work front, Dwayne will be seen in Jumanji: The Next Level next month. Hoping to end the year with a bang, Dwayne will reunite with Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, Jack Black and Nick Jonas in the third Jumanji movie.
