The Marvel fans were in a state of shock as Sony announced that it will be pulling out Spider-Man from Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while everyone has their own thing to say, looks like we might be seeing the light of the day soon. As per the recent reports, the two are currently trying to chalk out a plan and with Disney open to suggestions, a new deal for the SpiderVerse might be underway real soon.
According to all that we know just yet, a 6 picture deal with Tom Holland might be underway, with an option for a 7th one as well. The report further suggests that there are three more films after Spider-Man 3, a new trilogy and the entire trilogy will focus on Peter Parker's college years including the part where he meets Firestar and Ice Man. The other films include two Avengers films with Spider-Man having a major role and where he becomes friends with Johnny Storm.
Further, Marvel Studios will helm and co-finance all Spider-Man related movies which includes 30% of the full profits while Sony will be distributing it. However, Disney will have exclusive digital as well as online rights, while Marvel Studies will co-finance as well as helm SpiderVerse live-action spinoffs under the same terms.
