Demi Lovato is taking one step at a time. The singer who suffered a near fatal drug overdose incident last year has been slowly and steadily getting back on track. Few weeks ago, Demi also marked one year of sobriety. When it comes to her love life, Demi recently has been hanging out with reality star Mike Johnson as per international reports. The same was confirmed by Mike while speaking to Entertainment Tonight. He revealed that they did go out on their first date in Los Angeles.

While Mike did not spill too many details about the romantic evening, he revealed he was indeed left amazed by Demi Lovato. “Demi Lovato and I went on a date. The woman is quite astounding and amazing. And that’s all I’ll say on that," he told the publication on Wednesday. Whereas for Demi, it seemed to be a matter of 'instant connection'. A source revealed to E!News, "She has always had a huge crush on Mike and once they met in person, there was an instant connection." Since their LA date, the source added that Demi and Mike "have been texting" and are "definitely interested in each other."

While appearing on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Mike said, "I think she’s amazing. She’s incredibly humble. When Demi and I are together, it’s laughter and we talk about real s—. Like, she’s a down-to-earth woman and I respect it so much. And she’s just a really humble, really cool, really fun, down-to-earth person." He added, "My status of the relationship with Demi and I are that we are two people exploring each other."
