Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds was once run over by a drunk driver: Every bone in my left side was broken
Ryan Reynolds was almost crushed after a barricade collapsed at Comic-Con Experience in Brazil. Turns out, he has been involved in worse accidents.
If you would have seen the Free Guy trailer, you would have noticed Ryan Reynolds' character is run over by two cars. The visual shows the actor, who plays the titular role, hit by a passing car before getting hit by a yellow taxi. While the experience seems painful, Reynolds has had first-hand experience of being run over by a car. Hard to believe? Well, trust the news for it comes from the horse's mouth. The actor revealed he was run over by a drunk driver when the Canadian star was walking home.
In an interview with Xilla Valentine, Reynolds was asked about the "most exciting that has ever happened" to him. The actor recalled the horrific incident and revealed he was hit by a car once. The Deadpool star was 19-years-old when the incident took place. "I had had a couple of drinks and I didn't want to get in my car obviously because that's insane/ I walked home and on my way home," he remembered.
It was during his walk back home that he got hit by a drunk driver. "I was like, 'Thanks karma!' I got run over by a guy who was drunk in the middle of the street." The following day, Reynolds woke up to realise "every bone in my left side was broken."

Reynolds was recently involved in a harrowing accident. The actor narrowly escaped a collapsing barricade at Comic-Con Experience in Brazil over the weekend. Videos from the event revealed that the Free Guy stepped down the stage to interact with fans when the barricade fell and almost injured Reynolds. While the actor and fans escaped injuries, the actor later revealed that it was worse than it appeared in the videos.
