Dark Phoenix actress Sophie Turner reveals studying mental health to portray her character Jean Grey
Speaking of Dark Phoenix, the same is produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The flick is the twelfth installment in the X-Men film series and is a sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse and it is also the final installment in the main X-Men series.

Dark Phoenix aka X-Men: Dark Phoenix is another most awaited Marvel movie of the year. Currently, the star cast and makers are on a promotional spree and they recently conducted a press conference in South Korea and divulged a lot of details about the movie and characters. During the press con, Sophie Turner was asked whether she studied mental health, to which Sophie who plays the lead character of Jean Grey said yes she indeed did it and studied many disorders such as Schizophrenia and Dissociative disorders among others to feel the confusion, disorientation, frustration anger that drives her character to tears. She revealed how without studying the same it would have been very difficult for her to portray her character. Check out the video of the actress right below.

The film is written and directed by Simon Kinberg who is marking his directorial debut with the same.
Apart from Sophie, the ensemble cast also includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Jessica Chastain among others. The movie will showcase how Jean Grey develops incredible powers which make her corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix.
