Danny Boyle believes Robert Pattinson would be the perfect James Bond after Daniel Craig
Danny Boyle, who was originally going to direct Bond 25 with John Hodge but eventually bailed out, revealed in an interview that Robert Pattinson would make a great James Bond after Daniel Craig.
Bond 25, which marks 25th film in the iconic James Bond franchise, may very well be the last time we see Daniel Craig as the legendary spy. The talk is already on as to who will replace Daniel as the next British spy. From Idris Elba to Richard Madden, there have been several casting rumours making the rounds. However, an official confirmation has not been made, as of yet. Danny Boyle, who was initially going to direct Bond 25 with John Hodge but eventually bailed out, has the perfect candidate as the next Bond!
It surely is an unconventional choice too! According to Boyle, it should be Twilight (2008) star Robert Pattinson, who he feels is the apt candidate to replace Craig. After watching Robert's performance in Claire Denis' High Life, Danny was astonished by the actor. "And it was so bizarre because I was sitting there thinking: ‘Oh my God, they should get him to be the next Bond,’" Boyle commented. Meanwhile, when asked if Pattinson is not too young to star as the next Bond, Danny continued, "No, no. He must be in his 30s. How old was Connery? He’s ready now."

Meanwhile, Robert is soon going to have his hands full as he puts on the mask of the caped crusader, Batman in Matt Reeves' directorial. So, juggling between Batman and Bond seems highly unlikely!
Bond 25 is slated to release April 8, 2020, and will star Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek as the Bond villain.
