D23 Expo: Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau, Christina Aguilera & others are now Disney Legends; VIEW PHOTOS

2019 Disney Legends Ceremony was a delightful experience for Disney fans at D23 Expo, which is currently taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center. Disney CEO Bob Iger welcomed each and every legend in kindred spirits. The celebrities who were honoured at the ceremony included Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Christina Aguilera, Ming-Na Wen, James Earl Jones and Hans Zimmer amongst others. RDJ was the first recipient as a fan yelled out that he loves Iron Man, 3000. RDJ was sure to give the love back during his witty and kind acceptance speech.

While Jon spoke about his association with Disney, Christina got candid about her Mickey Mouse Club days along with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling. The Grammy-winning artist revealed that it was Disney, who inspired her to become a singer. Ming-Na Wen revealed that she will be part of the highly-anticipated Star Wars series The Mandalorian, which is being headed by Mr. Favreau himself. Jones and Zimmer could not make it but they sent their wishes via endearing videos.

Meanwhile, Bette Midler too was honoured as a Disney Legend but a storm did not allow the legendary actress to attend. But, the Hocus Pocus (1993) star saw to it that her speech was delivered by someone special; her daughter Sophie Von Haselberg.

Other honorees included Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Kenny Ortega, Wing T. Chao and Wing T. Chao. The fun-filled ceremony had the fans brimming with excitement and joy.
