D23 Expo: Chadwick Boseman starrer Black Panther 2 release date REVEALED
Chadwick Boseman is back as Black Panther in T'Challa in Black Panther 2. At the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler revealed the release date of Black Panther 2.
In 2018, Black Panther released and helped add diversity to the superhero genre. Starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular character along with a stellar star cast which features Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis, this MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film was spearheaded by Ryan Coogler. The movie was not just a blockbuster at the box-office but was the first superhero movie to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.
Hence, it came as no surprise that a sequel was already in the works with Ryan back as the captain of the ship and Chadwick back as Black Panther. Rumours have been rife about what we can expect and at D23 Expo, Kevin teased the crowd about the film along with Coogler, who was also present. While Ryan shied away from revealing the official title of Black Panther 2, the director did unveil the release date of Black Panther 2.
Black Panther 2 will be hitting the theatre screens on May 6, 2022.
