D23 Expo: The cast of Frozen 2 pulls off a live performance of new song titled 'Some Things Never Change'
The Pixar sequel will see Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown join the Frozen world, and will also reveal how Elsa got her powers along with a lot more.
Frozen 2 sure will be revealing the so many mysteries that remain unknown, and while there might be many yet to be known, at the D23 Expo, Kristen Bell aka Princess Ana and Idina Menzel aka Princess Elsa revealed new details about the movie, and, also performed a brand new song. They were accompanied by Jonathan Groff aka Kristoff and Josh Gad aka Olaf as they performed live, unveiling a new song called Some Things Never Change.
Also present at the Expo were new voice cast members Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood and they revealed their roles. While Evan will take on the voice of Queen Iduna, mother to Anna and Elsa while Brown will voice Lieutenant Mattias, the man leading a troop lost in an enchanted forest since the past 30 years. Co-director Chris Buck said, "Frozen 1 and Frozen 2 work together to form one complete story." With the sequel, we will come to know of answers that we've all been looking for after the first part of the film.
Buck went on to say, "There was one question people kept asking: Why does Elsa have powers?" while Jennifer Lee quipped, "Yeah, we were wondering that too." Lee explains how the sequel will take on many questions, for instance, why was Anna born the way she was, about her parents and when the ship went down, and whether there is a happily ever after.
Frozen 2 is supposed to hit the theaters on November 22, 2019.
