Comic Con 2019: Riverdale star REVEALS he auditioned for the role of Spider Man; Find Out Who

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 has finally come to an end but for various fandoms, it was all things love and memories. From movies to tv shows, fans got to know more about what to expect and fangirl over. The cast of Riverdale graced the Hall H stage on the last day of Comic-Con 2019 and had a blast while revealing new details about the next season. Amongst those in attendance were KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch.

KJ Apa, in paticular, is in the headlines for making a major revelation during his interview with MTV. The handsome actor revealed that he had auditioned to play the role of Spider-Man in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). "I auditioned for Spider-Man. I didn’t get it," KJ shared. "You know, sometimes I walk out of an audition — you know when you walk out and you feel really good about it, feel like they loved it or whatever? I didn’t feel like that," Apa added about why he didn't get the part.

Meanwhile, the role of the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man eventually fell into the hands of Tom Holland. The actor first appeared as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Besides starring in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame, Tom has also had to solo Spider-Man films - Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
