In spite of stepping back from their royal duties and moving from the UK to Los Angeles, Califonia, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to make headlines. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be talking in detail about their side of the controversial royal story in an intimate interview with Oprah Winfrey. We're a stone throw away from Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special airing in the US as soon as this weekend.

An interesting update about the highly-awaited interview is that according to The Wall Street Journal via Just Jared, CBS paid a staggering license fee of between USD 7 million and USD 9 million to air Oprah's no holds barred conversation with Meghan and Harry. Moreover, Meghan and Harry's reps further confirmed that The Duke and Duchess didn't receive any compensation for participating in the interview. Hence, CBS' dough is going to Oprah's production company Harpo Productions. CBS was also given the rights to license the interview in international markets as the special will air on ITV in the UK. According to TheWrap, ITV paid USD 1.4 million to air the interview.

That's not all! According to ad buyers, 30-second commercial breaks are being sold for USD 325,000 by CBS given that millions and millions of viewers are guaranteed to tune in for what is going to be a huge television event.
