Captain America star Chris Evans gives a DISAPPOINTING The Falcon and the Winter Soldier update
Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans kissed Captain America goodbye earlier this year but fans were hoping he would make a cameo appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier began filming a few weeks ago. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan posed for photos and videos to announce that the shooting for the Disney Plus series has commenced. While Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are keen on watching The Falcon fill the shoes of Captain America and wield the shield in the series. However, the million-dollar question is: Will Chris Evans' Captain America aka Steve Rogers appear on the show, even if it's for a cameo?
Evans has answered and it is not going to bring a smile on your face. The Knives Out star spoke to Entertainment Tonight and revealed he is not donning the Cap suit for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. For that matter, he isn't even returning as Steve for the series.
"No, probably not," he said. "It was really tough. There was a million ways that whole tenure with Marvel could have gone wrong, and it didn't! So, to stick the landing so well, it would be a shame to revisit. Unless there was something very unique that we felt the need to reveal," Evans shared. "For now, it feels like, let's just be content with how well it ended," he added.

This isn't the first time the actor has shied away from returning to MCU. Evans appeared on Variety's Actors on Actors with Scarlett Johansson where he revealed he was not keen on returning to MCU just yet. "It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either. There are other things that I’m working on right now. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey. If you’re going to revisit it, it can’t be a cash grab. It can’t be just because the audience wants to be excited. What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together," he said. "It doesn’t feel, at this time, that would be a thing," he added.
