Jin couldn't have asked for a better birthday celebration. The BTS member joined his other K-Pop band members to take home four Daesang at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019.
What a way to draw curtains to 2019! After a whitewash win at the Melon Music Awards 2019, BTS ruled the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019 as well. The Korean pop band has had a record-breaking year and the award shows are proof of it. The seven-member K-pop boy band took to the international music awards stage, which took place on December 4 at the Nayoga Dome in Japan, to lift all four Daesang (known as grand awards in English).
RM, Jimin, Suga, Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope and V made their way to the MAMA 2019 stage to lift the Album of the Year for Map Of The Soul: Persona. BTS beat BLACKPINK, EXO, TWICE and SEVENTEEN to take home the trophies. US late-night show host Jimmy Fallon was present at the event to present the award to BTS.
Receiving the award, BTS leader RM took the mic and thanked the ARMY. "Every ARMY watching this, you guys gave us this title and you guys gave us the world. This year we released an album called Persona and you guys gave us our persona. We love you ARMYs," Kim Namjoon said, as reported by Metro UK.

Jimin thanked Jimmy and the ARMY on behalf of BTS as well. Jimin also confirmed that the band is working on a new album and it should be out soon. "First of all, thank you so much Jimmy Fallon for the special appearance. Also, we’re currently preparing for our next album. I think we’ll be able to come and show you an album," Jimin added.
Apart from winning Album of the Year, BTS' Boy With Luv featuring Halsey was awarded the Song of the Year. The boy band also took home the Artist of the Year, Worldwide Icon Of The Year and Best Male Group.
