Billie Eilish recalls being 'scared' ahead of SNL hosting gig: I cried every single day of the week
Billie Eilish says she had a "full-body reaction" due to anxiety and nervousness while preparing for SNL appearance.
Billie Eilish opened up on being 'scared' ahead of her Saturday Night Live hosting gig. During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she revealed how anxious she was while preparing for her high-anticipated SNL appearance as a host. "Preparing for ‘SNL’ was f****g nuts, dude," Billie began.
Opening up further, Eilish also discussed how she felt every day for a week while preparing for the show. "It was literally alien. I cried every single day of the week. No joke at all,” Eilish said, adding that despite loving acting, she was conscious about the same as “that’s not my world.”
She also revealed having cried on several occasions while on the sets for rehearsal. “I went to the Green Room, cried, and came back,” Eilish said as she recalled how she felt during the table-read breaks. “I was just scared. It’s like, it’s ‘SNL'...These amazingly talented actors are surrounding a table where, somehow, I’m the main course," she jokingly added.
During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Eilish also said that she had a "full-body reaction" due to anxiety and nervousness. “I threw up on a plane coming here. I had crazy s*ts when I got here like you wouldn’t believe...you know, ones where you have to get fully n***d on the toilet.”
However, the singer also recalled calming down once she saw the crowd cheering for her. "It was relieving, somehow… I was like, ‘Oh, this is actually really incredible, and I don’t have to worry. This is just for fun,'" she said.
