Where's the party tonight? At Drake's place. The singer is probably on cloud nine given that he made history with his Billboard Music Award 2019 win. The Billboard Music Awards 2019 took place on May 1. Stars gathered in Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena to celebrate the best of music. The BBMAs turned into a memorable night for Drake. The God's Plan singer was nominated for 17 categories this year and he took home 12 Billboard Music Awards this year.
This win resulted in Drake becoming the most-awarded artist in the history of BBMA. With his 12-award victory, Drake has an all-time total of 27 wins. Another star who left everyone cheering was Ariana Grande. The "Thank U, Next" singer took home two big awards. She won Top Female Artist, beating Cardi B and Taylor Swift, and Billboard Chart Achievement Award, leaving Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper behind.
Cardi B won Top Rap Female Artist. The singer was the highest nominated star of the year. She had about 21 nods this year. Also, BTS won two awards. The K-Pop band took home the trophy for Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist.
