The latest season of Big Little Lies saw a big step up when Meryl Streep was brought on board to play the character of Mary Louise. She plays Perry's disheartened mother in the season two of this show. Everyone was hoping to see what lies for this character considering the show makers got such a huge star like Meryl Streep to play this character. As the show proceeds, Mary Louise's character is turning out to be a real nightmare for the mothers of Monterey.
To begin with Meryl Streep's character refuses to believe that Celeste played by Nicole Kidman was a victim of domestic abuse at the hands of her son Perry. Mary Louise crashes at her son's house to live with her grandsons only to keep a close eye on Celeste. The famous dinner table scream is something the fans will not forget at least for decades to come. Also, Streep's constant questioning Shailene Woodley's character whether Perry was really the father of her child is not taken well by the fans as she demands for a medical test to prove it.
