Beyonce reveals she wants her kids to know where they come from in new documentary Making The Gift

In her brand new documentary special, the singer is taking fans behind the scenes and sharing the making of her album The Lion King: The Gift.

Beyonce is treating her fans with some never-before-seen footage of not only herself but her cute little babies as well. In her brand new documentary special 'Beyoncé Presents: Making The Gift', the singer is taking fans behind the scenes and sharing the making of her album The Lion King: The Gift. The 'Halo' star also gave a glimpse into what it was like to create such a record with her and Jay-Z's kids by her side. Apart from her music , the documentary also focuses on her husband Jay-Z and their kids Blue Ivy and 2-year-old twins Sir and Rumi. 

In the documentary, Beyonce opens up about always being in connect with her ancestral side. A shot from the documentary features the singer and her kids wearing bathing suits and relaxing with their parents in Africa. Mom Beyonce and dad Jay-Z can be seen reading to them. 

In the scene, Beyonce says, "Visiting countries in Africa, it’s always an emotional experience for me. It feels like I’m making peace with a part of me that’s yearning for my ancestral connection. I was blessed to be able to relive some of the experiences that I’ve been very fortunate to have over the years with my entire family.” She added, "Knowing where you come from, that’s what I want for my children."

In the documentary we also get to witness to touch some really high notes during her music recording. Making The Gift comes after another film of Beyonce titled Homecoming which was nominated for six Creative Arts Emmys.
