Actor Ben Affleck seems to have successfully managed to complete 365 days of sobriety. The Batman star, who battled alcoholism, sought treatment and checked himself into rehab for a third time last year and since completing his stay, Ben has managed to stay clean. According to a report in People, Ben Affleck has been doing better than ever after he underwent rehab for a 40-day period in 2018. A source told the entertainment portal, "Ben is in a great place both in his recovery and life. He continues to want to be the best father and friend he can be."
The actor is a father to three kids who he had with actress Jennifer Garner. The couple divorced last year after splitting in 2015. After working on his sobriety, Ben has been a great father to the kids and 'e continues to want to be the best father and friend he can be', the source added,
Jennifer, on the other hand, has been very supportive of her ex-husband and helped him get along. “He and Jen do amazingly well at co-parenting the children. They have shared a great summer with the kids doing outings, travels, etc. They have a very trusting and special relationship. She’s really supportive of Ben,” the source revealed. The actor has also struck an apt balance between work and home.
In a lengthy statement in October 2018, Ben had opened up about his addiction. He wrote, "This week I completed a forty-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care. Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is full-time commitment,” adding “I am fighting for myself and my family.”
