Batman actor Robert Pattinson kisses THIS movie goodbye over scheduling conflict; Find Out
Robert Pattinson will don the cape and become the Batman for Matt Reeves directorial on the DC superhero. He will also be seen in Christopher Nolan's Tenet. However, the actor has opted out of a summer filming movie due to scheduling issues.
Robert Pattinson is a busy, busy actor. The Twilight famed actor recently made the headlines after he signed the Batman. The actor is joining the DC Extended Universe as the new Batman. He will be donning the cape for Matt Reeves' directorial on the Cape Crusader. The 33-year-old star is filling the shoes of Ben Affleck in the new Batman movie. Apart from Batman, Pattinson is also a part of Christopher Nolan's Tenet. To top it off, the actor had also signed the Joana Hogg directed The Souvenir sequel.
Although an official filming date for Batman hasn't been revealed, it was reported that the pre-production will begin later this summer. Nolan's film is set to begin filming this summer. The Souvenir's sequel was also lined up to kick-start filming this summer. Hogg's movie was scheduled to start filming this month in Norfolk. Whereas, Nolan’s action flick was slated to start shooting in later this month. Tenet will be travelling around the world to film in seven different countries.
Given both their schedules and Tenet's constant changing locations, the Batman actor decided to opt out of one. As per an IndieWire report, Pattinson has chosen to kiss The Souvenir sequel goodbye. The actor's rep confirmed his exit and said that although Pattinson had a "strong desire to do the film," the schedule was not working in his favour. He had to opt out eventually.
As for Tenet, nothing much is known about the plot of the movie. However, it has been confirmed that the movie will shoot a crucial fight sequence in India. It was reported that the cast and crew will travel to India in September and film an action sequence in Mumbai. The actor will be seen in the movie with John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, and Michael Caine. The film is expected to release in July 2020.
