DCEU is hunting for an actress who could bring the Batgirl to life on the big screen. Yes, yes, Batgirl is still reportedly on the Warner Bros' table despite Joss Whedon raising his hands up in the air. Remember, he walked out of the project after Justice League bombed at the box office. The director was roped in to write and film Batgirl. The directorial duties landed in Christina Hodson's hand. Now, it has been reported that two actresses are in talks to play the Batgirl in the DC Extended Universe.

As per two separate news reports by We Got This Covered, two talented divas have been reportedly approached to play the role of Barbra Gordon. It has been reported that Avengers: Endgame star Katherine Langford is in the talks to play the Batgirl. Langford was to play Iron Man aka Tony Stark's teenage daughter in Avengers: Endgame. Russo Brothers confirmed her addition, however, her scene was chopped off. But it seems like the 13 Reasons Why star is destined to be in a superhero movie, one way or another.

Meanwhile, another report suggests that she is fighting out with Star Wars fame Daisy Ridley for the role. The actress rose to fame with her portrayal as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. She reprised her role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi which released in 2017. She will be done with the series (as of now) with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, releasing this year.

For the unversed, the comic book character debuted into the DC comics world back in the 1960s. Her alter ego, Barbara Gordon was introduced via Batman. The character was created by William Dozier, Julius Schwartz, and Carmine Infantino. Who do you think should play the Batgirl? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
