Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson has THIS to say about the Black Widow standalone film
In a recent interview, Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson finally broke her silence on the highly-awaited Black Widow standalone film. Read below to see what Scarlett had to say about the same.
Avengers: Endgame saw the culmination of a beautiful decade-long MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) journey. We got to relive the past with our OG 6 Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye) as they did whatever it took to defeat Thanos and avenge the fallen. Iron Man, Captain America and Thor have had standalone films in the past. While we have The Incredible Hulk (2008) with Edward Norton, a standalone Hulk film with Mark Ruffalo seems impossible due to Universal's involvement. Jeremy has the upcoming Hawkeye series and fans were wondering when the Black Widow standalone film will happen.
Addressing the standalone film and breaking her silence finally is Scarlett Johansson herself who spoke with Variety about the same. When asked why a Black Widow standalone film did not happen earlier, the actress stated, "I think everything happens when it’s supposed to. All I’ll say is that I think I have a greater understanding of the character now than I ever possibly could have had before. Whatever iteration you see of this character, may or may not see of this character in the future, will be the better because of it."
