Avengers: Endgame: Robert Downey Jr is all praises for Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of Fat Thor
Avengers: Endgame saw Chris Hemsworth's mighty Thor as Fat Thor, battling depression from the after-effects of Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Robert Downey Jr. complimented his Chris for his risky performance, which paid off in bountiful.
Avengers: Endgame felt to many like a swan song of the original six Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye). One of the most surprising elements of this MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film was the introduction of a Fat Thor, battling depression from the after-effects of Avengers: Infinity War (2018). It was definitely a risk for actor Chris Hemsworth to shed the mighty God avatar and change his physical appearance completely. However, the gamble paid off and Thor was amongst the most entertaining characters in Avengers: Endgame.
Even Robert Downey Jr. was all praises for his co-star and in an interview with Variety magazine, the actor complimented Hemsworth for his riveting performance in Avengers: Endgame. RDJ said, "Boy, did he go bonkers. He went out to the bleeding edge. I have a rule, which is if you think you’re at 70%, then start pulling back, because it’s probably at 105. He went out into some pretty risky atmosphere of nuttiness." Now, this is a compliment of the highest level for Chris, wouldn't you agree?
