There are two instances between Iron Man and Doctor Strange that struck a cord in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans hearts and minds! One happened in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) when Stephen Strange revealed to Tony Stark that out of 14 million futures, he saw only one scenario where the Avengers won. Second, in Avengers: Endgame, when Tony asks Stephen if they win against Thanos, Strange tells him that if I tell the outcome, it won't happen. Afterward, Stark gazes at Stephen who lifts his hand indicating 'one'.

Many fans tried to decipher what exactly did Doctor Strange see in the future and thanks to a very believable fan theory, we might finally have an answer. According to the theory on Reddit, as the Ancient One cannot see past her death, similarly for Doctor Strange, when he sees into the Eye of Agamoto, he witnesses 14000605 screens simultaneously. Each screen represents a paticular future prospect. One by one, the screens all go black. Doctor Strange sits hopelessly at the black void. He realizes that Thanos is inevitable. But, like a silver lining, a few screens come back up and he starts watching again.

"He fullscreens the window and he rewinds it all the way back until, boom, he’s back on Titan. That worried look he gave Tony wasn’t because of the slim chance of winning, but because he basically sealed Tony’s fate. That one single screen left playing was essentially the last part of Avenger: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame played in reverse. All Strange needs to do now is hit play. So when Tony asked him if this was the one, he just didn’t want to spoil the movie," the theory concluded.
